Fiona Elsey née Plant - Principal Chiropractor

Fiona is a mother of 2 children who are a lot of fun and keep her very busy.  She used to suffer from headaches on a regular basis and chiropractic helped enormously to reduce them. That experience with chiropractic gave her the desire to help others in the same way.

Fiona enjoys working with people of all ages to help them be able to sit more comfortably at work, recover from sports injuries or exercise soreness and enjoy life without pain. She uses the latest in evidence-based techniques and research to do so through specific treatments and corrective exercises.

Fiona has undergone further study in sports chiropractic, musculoskeletal acupuncture, chiropractic care for pregnant women and children and has also completed the FAKTR course.

Having been through 2 pregnancies herself and looked after many pregnant women with chiropractic care, she has a great understanding of the changes a woman’s body goes through and the demands that are placed on it both internally and externally.  She regularly checks her own children’s spines as children will be children and get up to all sorts of mischief which can cause spinal misalignments. Also, Fiona found chiropractic and a tailored exercise programme to help strengthen her back after her pregnancies.

Fiona opened Riverside Chiropractic, in August 2010 to be the chiropractor for the North Ryde/Macquarie Park corporates and residential community in the surrounding areas

Nicola Mitchell - Associate Chiropractor

Nicola has completed a bachelor of Chiropractic Science and a Masters of Chiropractic. Her interest in chiropractic started after developing severe headaches in the last two years of high school, as she started to focus more on her studies and spent less time playing sport. Through receiving treatment Nicola was fascinated by how chiropractic really helped alleviate back pain and it gave her insight as to how to alter her posture and to strengthen key muscles, therefore, addressing her problem.

Her journey encouraged her to study chiropractic and to help others. Through further education Nicola wants to educate and positively impact her patients' lives.

Nicola is excited to meet people in the local community and answer any questions they may have.
