Feel better now!

With help from our remedial massage therapist.

Remedial Massage: this is our most popular type of massage. The purpose of this is to create changes in the tissues to allow them to heal themselves, this involves both pain relief and corrective changes. It’s done by allowing the soft tissue to return to normal which takes pressure off the bone and joints which eases and restores movement. It also increases blood and lymph flow and helps to reduce scar tissue.

Sports Massage: this type of massage is great for an athlete or person engaged in regular activity to either help them prepare for an event or aid in recovery ranging from mild discomfort to a muscle or ligament tear. Sports massage aims to correct imbalances in the soft tissue (muscles, ligaments, joints & fascia) and aid in repairing trauma in the soft tissue.

Deep Tissue Massage: Deep tissue massage aims to reduce tension and pain in the muscles and tendons. Your remedial massage therapist will work into the deeper layer of tissue to help reduce pain and adhesions that may have been there a long time. Your therapist may use their elbows or forearms to reach the deeper layers but may also use their fingers and palms to knead the muscles as well

Swedish (relaxation) Massage: it is designed to reduce stress and promote a sense of well-being which may reduce pain and tension in muscles. Long, gliding strokes are used in a rhythmic fashion to help achieve this. The purpose of this type of massage is not for pain and tension reduction. Reducing stress can have a positive impact on stress hormones, blood pressure and your immune system.
