Surviving the End-of-Year Madness (Without Losing Your Mind)

Every parent I talk to lately is saying the same thing:
“This time of the year is so busy.”

Between end-of-year school parties, class celebrations, work functions, and your kids’ recitals, it’s no wonder December feels like a marathon. I love the festive season — the lights, the energy, the excitement — but even I have to pace myself and use a few strategies to stay sane.

Here are the things that genuinely help me get through this crazy-but-wonderful time of year:

1. Let your standards drop (yes, you really can)

We put so much pressure on ourselves to keep everything perfect… especially around Christmas. But the truth?
There are only so many hours in a day, and you can’t do everything.

Give yourself permission to ease up a little.

When my youngest decorated our Christmas tree this year, it definitely wasn’t Pinterest-worthy — but you know what?
It’s done.
They were proud.
And that’s what actually matters.

A little grace goes a long way.

2. Stick to the basics: sleep, food, movement

When life gets busy, the first things to fall apart are usually the things that keep us functioning.

So I try to stay on top of the basics:

  • Sleep

  • Eating actual meals (not just leftovers from kids’ plates)

  • Moving my body

I also make sure I see my chiropractor so I’m moving well and not carrying unnecessary tension during an already stressful season.

The small habits make the biggest difference.

3. My supplement support crew: ashwagandha + magnesium

Both ashwagandha and magnesium help keep me calm and grounded — especially on those weeks where the calendar feels like it’s bursting at the seams.

A little extra support never hurts.

What about you?

This time of year can feel chaotic, joyful, exhausting, magical, and overwhelming all at once.

What helps you stay grounded during the festive season?
I’d love to hear your tips — we’re all in this together.

Avoid gaining weight this Christmas and New Year season! 🎄🌟😇🥂🍕

It is possible!! In this video, (yes, it's a few years old but the info is still the same), I'll be going over how to minimise the bulge and choosing wisely regarding food and alcohol so you can start the year feeling the way you want to and not having to go up a belt notch.
